Queen Bey gave Atlanta the fireworks, but left behind chaos, cockroaches, and a crime scene.
Beyoncé did what Beyoncé does best: she lit up Atlanta with a jaw-dropping performance that had the city in a chokehold. She gave the girls 16 carriages, a flying horse, and finally hit the crowd with “Before I Let Go” — something she notably did NOT give to Washington D.C. on the Fourth of July. Yes, we’re still salty. Big time Salty.
But while Atlanta got the extras, it also got the drama.
THE THEFT: Somebody Stole from Beyoncé?!
According to reports, two suitcases were stolen from a rental car parked near Krog Street Market. Not your average Samsonite, these bags allegedly contained:
- Unreleased music
- Tour plans and future set lists
- Behind-the-scenes footage
Let that sink in. Someone’s dusty cousin just pulled off a heist against the BeyHive’s queen, and the internet is already side-eyeing every wannabe producer in Atlanta. They are probably bumping to new music.
THE STAMPEDE: Cockroach Chaos at the Concert
If that wasn’t enough, People confirmed that 11 fans were injured during one of the shows after a full-on stampede broke out.
The cause? A bug, but were going to make it juicy and say it was a Roach.
Yes, you read that right. A fan spotted a bug, screamed, and ran — and because Black folks don’t wait to find out what’s chasing us, the people took off like it was Coachella 2.0.
Cue to the 11 people injured. You would think this was a mini Astroworld Festival.
IS THIS KARMA FOR D.C.?
Let’s be honest: If Beyoncé had pulled out those same carriages, pyro, and soul tributes for D.C. on July 4th, maybe the universe wouldn’t have spun the block on Atlanta.
One thing’s for sure: When Beyoncé enters a city, she makes the headlines.
